Sister City Initiative Background Posted on September 26th, 2009 by

The Sister City initiative for the City of St. Peter began in late 2008 when a group of 8 people came together to form the Sister City Steering Committee.  Throughout the committee’s 7 month existence its members were able to:

  • Register with the Sister City International Organization
  • Gauge community interest of the project
  • Find and research the city of Petatlán, México
  • Hold an open forum to get feedback from St. Peter citizens
  • Make multiple contacts in the city of Petatlán

It is for all of these reasons that we would like to thank the following 2008 Sister City Steering Committee members for all of their hard work and continued support: Maria Alvarez, Evelyn de la Rosa, Ytive Prafke, Todd Prafke, Ellen Conover, Jeffrey Rathlef, Julio Zelaya, and Chaz Brown.
